Rocío is a Geologist with 4 years of consulting experience in the area of modeling and estimation of mineral resources. Since her arrival at GeoEstima, she has participated as support in the development of grade estimation projects and geometallurgical variables, carrying out database analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), estimations by kriging and geostatistical simulations and execution of Python routines applied to validations.
Representative projects:
Throughout her professional career, Rocio has worked in porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits, precious metals (Au-Ag) deposits, Skarn deposits, and iron deposits for prefeasibility, feasibility, and open pit studies.
Work experience:
Rocio has done consulting work in the area of modeling and estimation. She has participated in all stages of the workflow of a mineral resource model (database review, EDA, resource estimation, validation and reconciliations) through the use of specific software (Leapfrog™ and Isatis™ and Isatis Neo ™) and in the development of resource model analysis tools with Python. In addition, she has carried out geostatistical simulation studies of geometallurgical variables and grid studies for copper and iron deposits.
Ratings and software:
Rocío is a geologist from the University of Chile and a Master's in Mining Engineering from the same University in the area of Reservoir Evaluation and Geostatistics, which has given her tools in data analysis, geostatistical simulation, and reservoir evaluation, among others.
She also excels in advanced software management of Leapfrog Geo-EDGE ™, Isatis Neo ™, Python, Matlab and GSLIB.
